The os violin

Austrian violin maker Edgar Russ has built a violin in Cremona, the violin capital of the world. So far, so good. But this violin is something special. It was built with inlays of hundreds of precious stones and 700 pieces of osmium set in gold. The construction of the violin took many thousands of hours of work.

The violin, which bears the name "The OS Violin", is to be presented on March 17, 2023, during the official opening of the Castle Casino in Vaduz, Lichtenstein. The selling price is stated to be several million euros. Prospective buyers, especially from the Arab and Asian regions, have already made representations.
